Alice Morzenti is a prominent figure among the most distinguished and internationally recognized Italian flutists of her generation.
She has served the position of Principal Flute with the Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg since 2013 and has taught orchestral studies at the Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
After holding the position of Flute Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Trossingen, she will be appointed Professor at the Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg starting October 2025.
Born in the province of Bergamo, Alice Morzenti graduated with top marks, honors, and distinction from the Conservatory of Brescia. She went on to further her studies with Davide Formisano at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Stuttgart and with Mario Caroli at the Académie Supérieure de Musique in Strasbourg, where she also graduated with the highest honors.
At a very young age, she was a finalist in the “Ponchielli” Competition in Cremona and went on to win numerous competitions, including “I Giovani per i Giovani” in Ravenna, the “Bazzini” Chamber Music Competition, the “Manenti” Competition for soloists and orchestra in Brescia, the International Flute Interpretation Competition in the city of Ovada, the “Severino Gazzelloni” Scholarship Competition in Florence, the “Krakamp” Competition in Benevento, “Nuovi Orizzonti” in Arezzo, and the International “Marco Fiorindo” Competition.
She has performed both as a soloist and chamber musician at numerous festivals and concert series. She has been a guest at the Falaut Festival, Flautomania (held at Teatro alla Scala in Milan), the Italian festival Flautissimo in Rome, the Cernobbio Festival, and the German Flute Festival in Freiburg.
At the age of eighteen, she began performing with the Orchestra and the Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala, working with conductors such as John Eliot Gardiner, Donato Renzetti, Georges Prêtre, Daniel Harding, Semyon Bychkov, Gustavo Dudamel, Zubin Mehta, Riccardo Chailly, and Lorin Maazel.
Since then, her career has taken her to some of the most prestigious concert halls in the world, including the Musikverein in Vienna, the Gasteig in Munich, the Festspielhaus in Salzburg, the Concert Hall of the KKL in Lucerne, the Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Bolshoi Theatre in Moscow.
She has performed as principal flutist with leading orchestras such as the Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, the Teatro Regio di Torino Orchestra, the Gran Teatro La Fenice Orchestra in Venice, the Teatro Comunale di Bologna Orchestra, the Münchner Bachsolisten, the Munich Radio Orchestra, the Munich Chamber Orchestra, the Bavarian State Orchestra, the Philharmonia Zürich, and the Bamberg Symphony Orchestra, under the baton of conductors including Myung-Whun Chung, David Afkham, Fabio Luisi, Daniele Gatti, Constantinos Carydis, Gianandrea Noseda, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim and Kirill Petrenko.
She has served as a jury member in several competitions and is an active member of the Kammermusikverein Philharmonie e.V., with which she regularly performs chamber music in various ensembles.
Alice is regularly invited to give masterclasses at prestigious institutions around the world and currently serves as a mentor in the Mentoring Program of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.
She is a Miyazawa Artist and plays a CS-Pt-B-REH-I flute.
Alice Morzenti zählt zu den herausragendsten und international anerkanntesten italienischen Flötistinnen ihrer Generation.
Seit 2013 ist sie Soloflötistin der Staatsphilharmonie Nürnberg und unterrichtete Orchesterstudien an der Hochschule für Musik Freiburg.
Nach ihrer Professur für Flöte an der Hochschule für Musik Trossingen wird sie ab Oktober 2025 die Professur an der Hochschule für Musik Nürnberg antreten.
Gebürtig aus der Provinz Bergamo absolvierte sie ihr Studium am Konservatorium in Brescia mit der Bestnote und ‘summa cum laude’. Ihre Ausbildung vervollständigte sie anschließend bei Davide Formisano im Rahmen eines Masterstudiengangs an der “Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst” in Stuttgart, darauf aufbauend bei Prof. Mario Caroli an der “Académie Supérieure de Musique” in Strasbourg (beste Note mit Auszeichnung).
Als Jugendliche erhielt sie erste Preise bei folgenden Wettbewerben: “I giovani per i giovani” in Ravenna, “Bazzini Kammermusikwettbewerb” und “Manenti Solistenwettbewerb” in Brescia, “Internationaler Flötenwettbewerb” in Ovada, “Severino Gazzelloni” in Florenz, “Krakamp” in Benevento, “Nuovi orizzonti” in Arezzo und “Internationaler Fiorindo Kammermusikwettbewerb” in Turin.
Sie trat als Solistin und Kammermusikerin u.a. bei folgenden Festivals auf: “Flautissimo” in Rom, “Flautomania” an der Mailänder Scala, “Falaut Festival” und “Amici del loggione del Teatro alla Scala” in Mailand, “Festival di Cernobbio” am Comer See und “Flötenfestival Freiburg”.
Bereits im Alter von achtzehn Jahren spielte sie zum ersten Mal im Orchester der Mailänder Scala, wo sie Orchestererfahrungen mit einigen der größten Dirigenten unserer Zeit sammeln konnte, wie z.B. John Eliot Gardiner, Zubin Mehta, Georges Prêtre, Riccardo Chailly, Gustavo Dudamel, Daniel Harding, Lorin Maazel, und Semyon Bychkov.
Ihre Konzerttätigkeit führte sie seither in einige der renommiertesten Konzertsäle der Welt, darunter den Musikverein in Wien, den Gasteig in München, das Festspielhaus in Salzburg, den Konzertsaal des KKL in Luzern, die Suntory Hall in Tokio sowie das Bolschoi-Theater in Moskau.
Sie trat als Solo-Flötistin mit zahlreichen bedeutenden Orchestern auf, darunter die Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, das Orchester des Teatro Regio di Torino, das Orchester des Gran Teatro La Fenice in Venedig, das Orchester des Teatro Comunale di Bologna, die Münchner Bachsolisten, die Münchner Rundfunkorchester, das Münchener Kammerorchester, das Bayerische Staatsorchester, die Philharmonia Zürich und die Bamberger Symphoniker.
Dabei arbeitete sie unter der Leitung von Myung-Whun Chung, David Afkham, Fabio Luisi, Daniele Gatti, Constantinos Carydis, Gianandrea Noseda, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim und Kirill Petrenko.
Alice war Jurymitglied bei mehreren Wettbewerben und ist aktives Mitglied des Kammermusikverein Philharmonie e.V., mit dem sie regelmäßig in verschiedenen Kammermusikensembles auftritt.
Neben ihrer künstlerischen Laufbahn ist Alice auch eine international gefragte Pädagogin. Sie wird regelmäßig eingeladen, Meisterkurse an renommierten internationalen Institutionen zu geben und ist derzeit Mentorin im Mentoring-Programm der Hochschule für Musik und Theater München.

Alice Morzenti è una figura prominente tra le flautiste italiane più affermate e riconosciute a livello internazionale della sua generazione.
Primo Flauto della Staatsphilharmonie di Norimberga dal 2013, ha insegnato preperazione orchestrale alla Hochschule für Musik di Friburgo in Brisgovia.
Dopo aver ricoperto il ruolo di Professoressa di flauto presso la Hochschule für Musik di Trossingen, a partire da ottobre 2025 viene nominata Professoressa presso la Hochschule für Musik di Norimberga.
Nasce in provincia di Bergamo e si diploma con il massimo dei voti, lode e menzione presso il Conservatorio di Brescia. In seguito si perfeziona con Davide Formisano all'"Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst" di Stoccarda e all' "Académie Supérieure de Musique" di Strasburgo con Mario Caroli dove si diploma con il massimo dei voti e la lode.
Giovanissima è arrivata in finale al concorso “Ponchielli” di Cremona e ha vinto concorsi quali “I giovani per i giovani” della città di Ravenna, il “Bazzini” per musica da camera e il “Manenti” per solisti e orchestra di Brescia, il “Concorso Internazionale dʼInterpretazione Flautistica” città di Ovada, il premio nel concorso “Borse di studio Severino Gazzelloni” di Firenze, il “Krakamp” di Benevento, il “Nuovi orizzonti” di Arezzo e il "Concorso Internazionale Marco Fiorindo”.
Ha partecipato come solista e in formazioni di musica da camera a vari festival e rassegne concertistiche. E’ stata ospite del “Falaut Festival” e di “Flautomania”, tenutosi al Teatro alla Scala di Milano, al festival italiano “Flautissimo” di Roma, al festival di Cernobbio e al Festival Flautistico tedesco di Friburgo.
Già all'età di diciotto anni collabora con lʼ”Orchestra” e con la “Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala” con maestri quali John Eliot Gardiner, Donato Renzetti, Georges Pretre, Daniel Harding, Simon Bychkov, Gustavo Dudamel, Zubin Metha, Riccardo Chailly e Lorin Maazel.
Da lì in poi la sua attività la porterà ad esibirsi nelle più importanti sale come il Musikverein di Vienna, la Gasteig di Monaco di Baviera, la Festspielhaus di Salisburgo, la Konzertsaal del KKL di Lucerna, la Suntory Hall di Tokyo e il Teatro Bolshoi di Mosca.
ha collaborato come Primo Flauto con la Filarmonica del Teatro alla Scala di Milano, l’Orchestra del Teatro Regio di Torino e l'Orchestra del Gran Teatro La Fenice di Venezia, l'Orchestra del Teatro Comunale di Bologna, i Münchner Bachsolisten, la Münchner Rundfunkorchester, la Münchener Kammerorchester e la Bayerische Staatsorchester, con la Philharmonia Zürich e i Bamberger Symphoniker sotto la direzione di direttori quali Myung- Whun Chung, David Afkham, Fabio Luisi, Daniele Gatti, Costantinos Carydis, Gianandrea Noseda, Valery Gergiev, Daniel Barenboim e Kirill Petrenko.

È regolarmente invitata a tenere masterclass presso prestigiose istituzioni in tutto il mondo ed è attualmente mentore all’interno del programma di mentoring della Hochschule für Musik und Theater di Monaco di Baviera.

Deeply committed to the education and development of young musicians, Alice Morzenti has become a respected and influential figure in the field of music education.
She currently holds an esteemed position as Professor of Flute at the Hochschule für Musik in Trossingen and will be appointed as Professor at the Hochschule für Musik in Nuremberg starting in October 2025.
In addition, she teaches postgraduate students at the ‘Peri-Merulo’ Conservatory in Reggio Emilia and serves as a mentor in the Mentoring Program of the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich.
She is regularly invited to give masterclasses throughout the year, where she shares her passion, experience, and artistic vision with students across Europe.
Mit großem Engagement für die Ausbildung und Förderung junger Musikerinnen und Musiker hat sich Alice Morzenti als angesehene und einflussreiche Persönlichkeit in der Musikpädagogik etabliert.

Attualmente é Professoressa di flauto presso la Hochschule für Musik di Trossingen e, a partire da ottobre 2025, viene nominata Professoressa presso la Hochschule für Musik di Norimberga.
Inoltre, insegna agli studenti in Master II Livello presso il Conservatorio “Peri-Merulo” di Reggio Emilia ed è attualmente mentore all’interno del programma di mentoring della Hochschule für Musik und Theater di Monaco di Baviera.
Viene regolarmente invitata a tenere masterclass internazionali durante l’anno, nelle quali condivide la sua passione, esperienza e visione artistica con promettenti giovani flautisti provenienti da tutta Europa.
